We'll join locals at a traditional festival in the picturesque Bumthang valley, walk ancient trails in Phobjekha valley, the seasonal home to the migrating black-necked cranes. Bhutan, is an experience like no other, and our journey is designed to connect with locals, to absorb the unique culture, hospitality and stunning landscape that Bhutan is renown for.

This tour coincides with Domkhar Tsechu in Bumthang region, offering you a rare and intimate festival experience
We’ll visit and stay in monasteries, explore temples and natural areas as we travel with a small party of ten or less.









Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu
Arrive in Paro with stunning Himalayan views. Greeted by your guide and transferred to Thimphu. Visit National Memorial Chorten and explore Bhutan’s capital.
Day 2: Thimphu Immersion
Visit Tashichho Dzong, the Takin Reserve, and your choice of museums and craft institutes. Optional stops include paper making, stamp collection, and bookstores.
Day 3: Drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass
Ascend to Dochula Pass (3,100m) for panoramic views. Descend to explore Punakha Dzong at the confluence of Pho and Mo Chhu rivers.
Day 4: Drive to Gangtey/Phobjikha
Journey to the beautiful Phobjikha Valley, Bhutan’s first eco-destination. Spot Black-necked cranes in winter months.
Day 5: Explore Gangtey Nature Trail
Visit the iconic Gangtey Gompa and walk the scenic valley trail. Learn about local ecology at the Crane Information Centre.
Day 6: Gangtey to Trongsa
Cross the Pele La Pass, rich in birdlife and flora. Arrive in Trongsa and explore the quaint town.
Day 7: Trongsa to Bumthang
Visit Trongsa Dzong and drive one of Bhutan’s most scenic routes to Bumthang. Explore Yatra weaving and traditional crafts.
Day 8: Domkhar Tsechu Festival
Attend the colorful Domkhar Festival with locals. Enjoy traditional dances, music, and picnic lunch in the Chumey Valley.
Day 9: Bumthang to Wangdue
Retrace your route with scenic stops including Chendebji Chorten. Enjoy relaxed travel through Bhutan’s heartland.
Day 10: Return to Thimphu
Scenic drive back to the capital. Optional stops for photography, leisure walk, and shopping.
Day 11: Journey to Haa Valley
Drive west to the tranquil Haa Valley. Visit Dobji Dzong and immerse in rural Bhutanese life.
Day 12: Explore Haa Valley
Discover untouched nature and local spiritual beliefs. Enjoy the Haa Panarama walk
Day 13: Haa to Paro via Chele La Pass
Cross Bhutan’s highest motorable road pass (3,988m). On clear days, enjoy sweeping views of Mt. Chomolhari.
Day 14: Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery
Hike to Taktsang, perched dramatically on a cliff face. Enjoy lunch with panoramic valley views. Indulge in hot stone baths after your epic climb
Day 15: Departure
Transfer to the airport for departure with memories of a truly unique journey.

Drukair tickets must be paid for and issued at the time of your deposit. If you cancel your trip 31 days or more prior to departure, there will be a US$ 50 per person cancellation penalty for the Drukair tickets in addition to the normal cancellation charges for land cost noted in our terms and conditions. If you cancel 10 days or less prior to departure, the Drukair ticket cost is non-refundable.

This royalty goes towards free education, free healthcare poverty alleviation, along with the infrastructure development. In case of emergency even foreign visitors can avail the free healthcare during your travels in Bhutan. Thus, by traveling to Bhutan you directly contribute to Bhutan’s education, healthcare and poverty alleviation.
